PerspectiveDec 12, 2007 - 08:37 AM PST Does it frustrate anyone else that no one now-a-days seems interested at looking at things from alternative perspectives? Better yet, has anyone else felt left out or rejected because they do? I know I have and do feel left out a lot because I look at things from all angles. I try not to step on anyone's toes if I don't need to, and it seems to be contributing to my getting left behind... I'd love to be able to just ignore everything and everyone around me and just do what I want, when I want, to whomever I want, but I can't. I'm too empathetic... yeah pathetic is in that word. I think a lot of people would be much nicer to eachother if they simply opened their eyes to something other than their own beliefs and views... Why is it uncommon for people to be kind? Thoughtful? Considerate? Why is it that acting like this is just as rare or astonishing as someone who murders, robs, or rapes? This is a world where utter kindness is just as frowned upon as evil... that means we are becoming more and more bottled up and controlled. When the desire to do good to others is taken from us, then so is our freedom. |
