Poem AssignmentMar 25, 2008 - 22:19 PM PST Little Girl With her father’s large, warm hand wrapped around her childish fingers, the girl feels as though nothing will ever change. Watching baseball, playing catch, she is a “Daddy’s girl” through and through. Time marches on… The little girl wears makeup now and holds another man’s hand. Her daddy watches games alone and no longer plays catch. Time marches on… The girl’s daddy is dying; she hugs him one last time as he whispers, “You’ll always be my little girl.” |
