Prologue Part Two

Her breathing became hard and dry. Barely a sound came from her, only the soft sound of her footstep told she was alive.

"Come...come..."

As icy as his voice was, it was like warm sweet honey to the ears. Her grip of the wood became a little loose, her mind beginning to be entranced to his voice. Part of her felt so weak to him but another was on high alert.

Creak!

Her feet stopped. All that was around her grew piercingly quiet that it almost hurt her ears. Her eyes wildly looked around where she stood.
Looking back at the moons spotlight, the "man" still stood but his hands were not to be seen.

"Why did you stop...merely the warehouse creaking...come my child...come without fear..."

Her steps became quicker, her heart wanted to see, her fear swallowed in one deep breath. And then to her own surprise she was in front of him, she couldn't see his face still but she could see that smile and this time eyes that reflected the moonlight. They were fixed on her the smile became wider. Its teeth shown with two fangs revealing...her eyes became wide to this sight but she didn't budge, she didn't move.

"No Fear My Child, never fear."

His gloved hand glided across her cheek. Admiring her beauty, so young was she, but old enough.
He looked in her eyes, his face upon hers. Her arms felt so weak-like that she dropped the piece of wood. Mesmerized by his gaze, she took one more step forward and said:

"Who are you?"

And with that the cloak dropped...

...and she awoke...
