All That's Left Is Why *

What do you do when all seems lost?
When everything’s mundane and victory comes at too high a cost
When your heart aches and your eyes seem to close on their own
When there’s just no value in all you’ve be shown
How do you live each day when all is in despair?
When nothing helps and you just don’t care
When fatigue overcomes you and you feel yourself retreat
When the battle is won, but all you feel is defeat
Who do you turn to when no one understands?
When your life has become a series of followed commands
When you want to take control and you don’t know how
When happiness seems like something you just can’t allow
Where do you go when everywhere is the same?
When you anticipate going and then sorry that you came
When nowhere is safe and there’s nowhere to hide
When there are so many decisions you just can’t decide
What I do is make a map so I can find my way
When all is lost and despair’s not far away
How it is, is that I choose to live, though all seems jaded
When my passion is gone and it’s memory faded
Who helps me is me when it seems I have no one to choose
When I’ve hit rock bottom and there’s nothing left to lose
Where I go may not exist, but at least it does to me
When hope is the destination and tomorrow is what I need to see
I can find what I need though it may take some time
I can find how I let this happen with each breath that is mine
I can find who I am and allow the person I need to let myself be
I can find where I need to go to let myself see
When all I need is to get back on my feet
When I realize I’m the person I need to meet.
