Randy the Reindeer-Rogh Draft

Apr 09, 2008 - 19:46 PM PST

Randy was the loneliest reindeer that ever lived. He was the younger brother of Rudolph. But, Randy did not have a bright red nose; he had a hot pink coat of fur. Randy hated this because he was different. This also meant he had no friends, and he would often make snowpeople to talk to, but they would always melt away after a while.

When Randy was born his mother was so ashamed, she left him out in the snow. Randy cried and cried until his mother came outside, picked him up, and threw him inside. After this his mother never spoke to him again. She just shoved him into a corner, and fed him what Rudolph did not eat. Most of the time Rudolph would eat everything, and purposely leave nothing for Randy. Of course this caused Randy to cry even more.

One day, Randy’s mother took Rudolph with her to go ice skating, and to eat magic popcorn, and she never came back. This caused Randy to be sent away to, The Special Reindeer School, where everyone made fun of him. They would call him names likes Pinky Pooh and Pinky Dinky, and he hated it. But, there was one reindeer that never made fun of him or played tricks on him, Suze, the most beautiful reindeer he had ever seen.

Eventually, Randy realized that he was in love Suze. It was hard for him to understand love because he had never loved or been loved in his entire life. He wanted to love Suze so much, but she never noticed him. He wanted to no longer be alone, and love her so much so he could finally be happy.

He thought that Suze was now noticing him more. One day Suze asked him to go over to her igloo for magic cornmuffins and magic corndogs. Randy was so excited he was speechless, and just shook his head to tell her he would like to go to her igloo.

While walking to Suze’s, Randy kept on thinking how wonderful it was to be loved again. He remembered how this was the complete opposite of what his mother had showed him, when he was younger. He also remembered how he felt whenever he looked at Suze. While thinking all of this the long walk to Suze’s igloo seemed to only take a few seconds.

Once inside the igloo, Randy and Suze talked for a very long time. They also ate magic cornmuffins and magic corndogs that Suze’s mother had made. Randy and Suze talked until the fifth serving of their food had been finished. This made Randy wonder, if he should ask Suze to be his reindeer friend. He asked her and she said yes. Randy was so in love he could have stayed in her igloo for hours, but he had to get back to school. So after playing reindeer games, he said goodbye, and walked away from his one true love.

Everything was perfect for the next few months. Randy and Suze did everything together. They walked, talked, and learned more about each other every day. Then, after some learning they would play reindeer games, which they both loved dearly. For these few months they were always by each other. Randy, was so in love he thought nothing could bring him down from the top of the tower of love.

Suze invited Randy over to her igloo, one day. Randy thought they would have so much fun, play reindeer games, and eat some of her mother’s favorite recipes with magic corn, but Randy was wrong. As soon as he got there, Suze told him that she didn’t like him like he liked her. She also said she didn’t want to be his reindeer friend anymore, but she still wanted to be his regular friend. As if the news could not be any worse for poor Randy, she brought out Alex, her new special reindeer friend. She said that she loved Alex, and that she only liked Randy. After, she told him that they started playing reindeer games. This hurt Randy more then anything his mother had ever done to him. This caused Randy to go crazy, and run out of her igloo.

After, Randy ran out of her igloo, Randy kept running, until he could no longer run. He was so disappointed and depressed that he could not even bear the thought of going back to school. He couldn’t even think how he could live knowing that Suze didn’t love him anymore. He felt so bad that he just walked for months and months. He knew something had to change, but he could not think what. But, every now and then Randy would see a red light in the sky, and he thought that might help him; maybe the red light could show him what to do.

The red light was, Rudolph, Randy’s long lost brother. Rudolph had been looking for Randy for a long time. He wanted to apologize for not loving him more as a child. Randy forgave him. Rudolph had also come to take Randy to his new home. It was a place called the North Pole, and there was an old man there that loved every reindeer even if he was different. After, telling him a few more wonderful things about the North Pole, Randy agreed to go with Rudolph.

Many years passed. Randy made many new friends. He became the happiest he had ever been in his entire life. He had become the second best reindeer in the North Pole, besides his brother of course. Randy also met a wonderful reindeer named Marzipan. Marzipan loved Randy, and Randy loved Marzipan. They became the best reindeer friends, that there ever were. They had many reindeer children, and lived happily ever after.

But, the story was not over quite yet. The happy couple, was in love. Marzipan, taught Randy the greatest lesson in life, he ever learned. She taught him, that no matter how you look you will always be loved my one person. They might not show you, but they will always love you. He, also learned a great lesson from the old man in the North Pole, no matter how you look, you are still a good person inside, and that you should not judge someone, even if they have a bright red nose, or a hot pink coat of fur, A person is a person no matter how they look.
