Return of my dear computer!

So haven't been on in a while...
Sunday/Monday/Tuesday were the trilogy of insane homework nights- I was up after 3 each night until wednesday. But now all's swell, my computer has safely returned with all of it's info on it, and included updated software, so now I have WIDGETS WHICH ARE THE COOLEST THINGS EVER. But unfortunately I don't have a webcam anymore, so there will we no vids until I get one sometime in the next few weeks.

So today I dissected my first organ! A sheep brain. While it smelled pretty funky and I was majorly freaked/grossed out at first, it was actually kind of amazingly interesting. I was shocked how similar it was to the diagrams I had seen, and still am in awe of the fact that small rubbery bits of muscle can be responsible for the thought process, movements, etc of a living creature. And while I totally don't plan on becoming any sort of doctor, I was thinking about how spectacular it would be to see a living, moving organ in a live body of something, doing what it's supposed to be doing. I mean, aside from all the blood and stuff, it'd be totally amazing. I sort of understand why people get so interested in that profession now.
But in a few days we're going to be dissecting EYES. Which will be REALLY freaky.

my friend has managed an astouding 140 words per minute, but embarrassingly enough I average at around 75 >.<
