Set a world recordMar 11, 2008 - 18:47 PM PST On March 20th in Central Park, you can set a world record.....by standing in the longest line for a toilet. New York, New York!! In honor of the 2008 as International Year of Sanitation, the US Committee for the United Nations Development Program is sponsoring an event, along with the German Toilet Organization and UNDP, to raise awareness for all the people around the world that don't have access to basic sanitation resources. I know this sounds ridiculous but that is the reason it is so genius. It will hopefully get a lot of press coverage, positive press coverage for the United Nations, which is what it needed. Plus, I know its on my list of things to do before I die. Not stand in a line for a toilet but to set a world record and raise awareness for a great cause while doing it. Go to: http://esa.un.org/iys/index.shtml Its a great cause that doesnt really get a lot of notice. I will be there. |
