Sex/fornication/precious "V"Jun 19, 2008 - 22:08 PM PST In class discussion lead from one to the other and suddenly it landed on birth control pills and abortion. Me, like my usual self just stood back and let everyone state their strongly opinionated selves go at each others throat. It got me thinking about friends that I knew in high school and how young they were when they started being "sexually active". It's funny because my best friend and I agreed that we would be "de-flowered" once we were about 17-18 or older at the age of 13? Then a year later passed and she got her cherry popped. Then once we've become 18 I remember it clearly how she told me her mother was telling her how proud of her she was of her. Because her and her co-workers were discussing about young teenage girls losing their precious "V" at such a young age and felt proud to know that she didn't. That, just proves how most parents in the American country are oblivious of their offspring. As cliche this might sound is that Birth control pills should be introduced to children as young as 11. I know many parents contemplate whether they should or shouldn't. They want to protect them but then again they don't want to enforce it by giving them birth control pills because they don't want to encourage them to fornicate. Then again they could just think of it this way, they are going to do it anyways so might as well make them aware of the consequences and give them some sort of protection. What do you think? |
