something to sayJan 06, 2008 - 18:58 PM PST I wish that I had more interesting things to say. I do think a lot, but rarely come up with anything remotely coherent. Look out when I finally get a web cam to do video blogs... Lately I've been having a lot of conversations about how religion affects people's lives (positive and negative). I have done a lot of research, read a lot of books, on a lot of different traditions, and I have my own theories, but I still wonder sometimes if it's all just whistling in the dark, to borrow a phrase. Whistling in the dark, when there's no light coming. Trying to fake our way through the wretched maze of this life, and of humanity, and of whatever you want to achieve or be with a modicum of grace and dignity. Despite the fact that I'm planning on music ministry as a career, sometimes I still wonder. I think that's just one of the things everyone deals with, but you'd think that when you decide to devote your life to something, you'd be at least a little more sure of it than I tend to be. If anybody else has thoughts on this, I'd be really glad to hear them. -Sarah a.k.a. crazyRed |
