I think I know what the huge draw to actually make a profile on this site is[at least for me]: theres no about me. Theres no call to sell yourself short just for the convenience of someone browsing through profiles for god knows what reason. I've always hated "about me"s. You have to sum yourself up in some interesting way that wont bore people to death but isnt so over the top that its obviously fake, and you have to do this all within probably a hundred words or less because you know that people will stop reading after the first paragraph IF they even get that far. And what if you happen to nail making this amazing about me? then you have to live up to it, and what if you just cant. And then theres the whole people change every day, so i mean to have a valid about me, you'd have to update it everyday of your life, and honestly, I'd rather just blog everyday. In the end, its much more productive anyway.

But then again, what is the point of blogging? I know for a fact I'm not the first to ponder this one. I don't think there is one universal answer. I think its something just like anything else. Everyone has there very own personal diverse reasons for the things they do[very much so including blogging].

Sometimes i wish there was one unverisal answer, one "universal panacea" as the alchemist once strived for. and other times I'm so glad there isnt. I'm thankful for things like frustration, anxiety, anger, and even dishonesty.

I know what you mean about people losing interest after the first paragraph. The point isn't to attract the attention of tons of people though, the point is to be yourself so that those who are seriously interested in what you have to offer can relate with you. The main difference between qL and Myspace, or other social sites is that qL is about passion - not finding the next "hott" guy or the next "sexy" girl to flirt with. Sure you can do those things, but qL revolves around actually understanding the life - the personality of the individual.

I think the most intricate point of blogging is relationship. Don't misread - I don't mean person to person; I mean the relationship between what one person has been through to what someone else has been through. Knowing that someone cares about you - even if it's just enough that they'll read what you have to say is alot.
