The old man

HUH?

saw a lonely man walking down a lonely road
sun on the horizones line, just a second in time
the man looked at me as I passed,
and this is what he said-

"See this road, Ive been walkin a long time,
and I've been thinkin', had a 'lil time
I started down this road with a reason in mind
40 years later and I finally found out why
see youngin', when youve walked as far as I
and seen the things ive seen,
heard the music the birds sing,
smelled the aproaching sun up
and roamed the scottish higlands
you start to notice what you never had before
the sky seams a bit brighter, the air fresher
and then all the universe conpsires to releive the pressure
so son, slow down and take it all in, hell, youve got a lifetime."

and then he was gone, as a dream fades so did he
and in time only his memory was left
but what a memory
