there's this place i've always gone, in my head. you know the one. where the sun is setting infinitely, while the clouds still sustain their candy blue, and the sky's on fire, like our souls and our hopes.

thats when i always felt i had made the best decisions. when i felt free to say and to dream and to dance, laugh, spin. its been there for me. through social faux pas', through rainy wednesdays, through discarded 'love you's.

no need for tardy slips, yellow mm's, frayed laces, or cold bitter window panes. that would be asking for too much, or so you would think.

"you're better off this way", it would reply to your befuddlement, if it could. "it's for your own good."

who knows, maybe we all can learn a thing or two.
