TiesMar 06, 2008 - 19:10 PM PST Rebind the ties only to find them worn and frayed, These won't hold you at all. It's a wonder you were able to find them. Draw in a bit closer and find all the same things you always knew, but were afraid to know. It keeps building and building until it unexpectedly switches gears. Suddenly, you're rushing past all the many parts of the whole you call your past. And you can very fainly make out the shape of what you're headed towards, But you can't tell what it resembles, not this far out. So, you are caught on this path between the familiar and potential. It's unfortunate then, that the familiar has potential and the potential has the ability to become familiar. So you're left weighing the more subtle pros and cons. Those things that can not be measured by any value, Which you are left to examine each and every moment. Knowing there's even a chance of going back and finding something new seems justification to throw the brakes. But you've traveled this far, And it's been a long ride with only yourself to rely on. So why turn back now when you're in a position to gain so much and only lose yourself? It's that cruel sense of comfort that keeps you coming back and when you're not coming back it's only bombarding your thoughts for hours on end, fracturing your grasp on what the path is and where it goes. So, left again, to wonder what to do and meanwhile letting it do what it will. |
