UntitledDec 23, 2007 - 07:13 AM PST Don't you hate it When the pantry is full And there's nothing to eat When your heart is empty But you refuse to die When all hope is lost, and you still fight To the end of it all Its not like I regret dying for someone I just wish I could've lived with them a little longer And when I open that door I wanted you to know That I did this all for you I'm showing up because of you And when all is gone Whether we've lost or won We've given all to what is believed to be wrong But in the end, who are we to judge? To judge who or what is right When all our life, we complain of strife The strong prevail, and the weak fail Don't you hate it When you feel pain But never admit to it When we hold our breath until we are blue Instead of letting go, and accepting all that is new I miss the days we had Back whenever I had no fears of the future Its not like I care about it though Otherwise I'd drive myself mad I know that if I did care That I wouldn't be able to be the man you need Sometimes we sacrifice what we want for what others need For those we love. And when I open that door I wanted you to know That I did this all for you I'm showing up because of you And when all is gone Whether we've lost or won We've given all to what is believed to be wrong But in the end, who are we to judge? To judge who or what is right When all our life, we complain of strife The strong prevail, and the weak fail But if it meant a few more days with you A few more moments that I could smile without remorse Then I'll be as weak as a twig If it meant being close to you still I'd give it all up Just for a little while longer With you |
