untitled poem 3Apr 22, 2008 - 19:07 PM PST it starts with a fire between you and i rooms apart flames dance and tickle the air eyes meet across ether waves born from and building the tainted miasma of a kindling house less the distance watch me burn don’t say a word the sentences have been written studied by both in cooler times the script is set to nonverbal expectancies common knowledge but reluctant nonetheless to find the tongue stops licks swallow it down too late i’m burning only to please the invention of space between lovers here is my passion here are my tears and altercations here is your proof of heaving breasts and wrought hands furrowed brows knees to chest rocking back rocking forth pendulum apologies missing send another send another blind wrecker latent malice burdens the walls sway crumbling weight lost to ash i’ve burned for the answer left marred in the shell of a house -smd 2008 |
