What would you do??

Sometimes it takes a single action,that can restore our faith in mankind

-or-

That same action could define us,and who we are.



I was walking today and I saw a blind woman trying to cross the street, she was struggling,and when she made it to the curb,a total stranger asked her if she was o.k. She then asked for, and was givin directions by the stranger.

After starting to cross the street again,she once again began to stumble and loose her way in the crosswalk. The stranger then walked out in the crossing,and grabbed her arm to help her cross. But, he didn't stop with that action. He then said "Let me walk you to your destination"- and, still holding her arm, he led the way down the street.- The opposite direction of his destination.-

WOW! It was amazing to see such a act of compassion for another. There ARE still good people in this world!!

But, then I began to think "Would I have done such an act"? and I can honestly say "No" - I probably would not have. That is not something I say proudly,but I say it in all truthfullness. I can say that I stood, and that I watched, but did nothing. So what type of person does that make me??Maybe I am not the "Good Person" that I tell myself I am.

How hard is it to do a selfless act for another? I think we all must look in our self's to answer that question-

If it comes to you-If you had the chance to do a selfless act- Even one that took you out of your "Comfort Zone"- Would you?
