Where I forgot..

Mar 27, 2008 - 08:47 AM PST

I thought while I ran
The new past just created
The parts where we fit in
And the parts where I no longer had room
Yet at the spark of your image
I return
Only to disappointment
When already, I knew
Falling farther than possible
Having yet to reach the ground
Calling for help from impossible heights
And "I told you so"
Swirls violently from my stubborn head
My newly sutured heart
Ripping loose
Where I forgot
The reasons why pictures mustn't remain on display
Your beauty radiates
Causing cancer to my heart
Digging for a cure
With raw fingers
And I am ready for defeat
Fore I am empty of ammunition
And these memories don't need me
A mirror only haunts
And I apologize for my lack of ambition
I've been lost here before
And I remember the way out...jle

I can totally relate to everything you (your speaker) are saying here. I love the lines, "Your beauty radiates/Causing cancer to my heart/Digging for a cure/With raw fingers[...]" Spectacular imagery.
