you want to be dressed up in poetry but imagery doesnt fit

Sometimes, I wonder why we waste time waiting, being mad,and well i guess dissapearing. We know that when we get a shot as risky as it is we need to take it. Being human and all though, we think 'what if'. I can't tell you thats wrong. I tend to change my mind. I also make decisions fast.

I just realized...it's okay to let go. It's okay. When things are changing and getting difficult. Its okay to let go...of an old friend, an old thing, an old place ...etc. We dont have to hold on forever...just to the memories...and those we can savior. However, we grow out of relationships, toys, a special spot.

Sometimes I feel its my duty to hold on to what once was enjoyable but now is on its last thread. It doesnt necesarilly have to cause drama. You can still pass by with a hello and a smile of what you once had. Fact- as we get older we grow out of our barbies, toy soldiers, certain music, ice skats, places we once loved to go, love, and friendships.

When we dont keep in touch...its not because I hate this person. Mostly because our personalities and interests grew apart, that what once was a close friendship became a constant fight to hold on. But its okay to go our separate ways and look back with a smile.

"You want to be dressed in poetry, but imagery doesn't fit" From Cute is What We Aim For -- Lyrical Lies. One of my favorite songs. :)

I can relate to an extent, but I've never really been able to form a sincere attachment to anything, which is probably why I'm batting zero in the relationship field...Freud might say it stems from my childhood but he was a jerk and a coke addict so what does he know...
