FLOOD!!!!!!But We're Fine...

Oh My God The floods are astronomical! I saw the houses near conger street and it was..It was just devastating.. I remember when I was in my 20's I was always working late at Burger King on Ansbourgh and I always had to drive on conger to get home faster and there would be this row of trees the most beautiful ones that you'd see before driving on the bridge and I know that their was this one tree that caught my eye. but now because of the floods I couldn't find my tree anywhere when I was going to wal-mart through the only street to get there. their was just bald dead trees in it's place which freaked me out. You expect beauty and you get ugly.
Well I wanted to see how high the water was in exchange park but everyone was there looking at it so dombfounded as if they never saw water before plus they were causing traffic problems so I just kept on driving.
So the only thing I'm worried about is if the mayor is going to release the floodgates on the east side to loosen the pressure of the water because if we keep pissing off the west side by showing them we're hot and dry they're going to drown us. So hopefully they won't do that.
There's water in downtown waterloo and it's mostly sewer water so I'm not putting my feet in there. Not Like this person.

Iowa has always had a flood somewhere in Waterloo it was exchange park.
and all other cities...
I don't know I don't live there...

There's a thunderstorm and a flash flood watch right now... Will be ok. But Others... May Be Swimming..

If there's anyone in Iowa that can help sandbag please do..
And people that are not flooded and probably never will be flooded this year.

If you watch the news like a hawk and act really serious as if your house was flooded DON'T.
IT'LL SCARE YOUR KIDS!! I know I did once with my son. I didn't like that I scared him with my obsession of the flood and he hardly gets scared of anything.
Just Make sure to think of good things through times of crises. And put your stuff in totes & label them they float!
Besides wathcing the news is just depressing, sad, even when there's nothing exciting on.
HELP OUT.
BE NICE.
AND MAKE SURE NOT TO TREAT PEOPLES FLOODED HOUSES LIKE A FREAK SHOW.
