i've tried
i've given everything to you
i've sacrificed
more than i'm willing to admit
put everything i wanted
on the backburner
off to the side
for you
and you didn't care
or didn't notice
either way you didn't
do anything
to keep me by your side
you let me keep giving
and giving until
i had nothing left to give
i finally wanted to get
and what i got
was angry
at you for not trying
or giving me a little
sacrifice of your own
instead you soaked up
all that i was giving
and kept yanking
everything from me
that could be given
until all have left
is this
anger
and for the first time
in a long time
i'm not stressed
i'm not tired
i'm not hurt
i'm not even sad that
you don't really care
that i'm gone
...because i'm angry
and it feels good
