The Yenta Diva Where Jewish Wisdom Meets Quarter Century Syndrome with just a hint of artistic flair and dorkiness
What is there to say that has not already been said? Ha. I feel like if I were to describe my life I would have to stack up a billion Woody Allen quotes (mostly from Annie Hall). Why do I think Woody Allen describes my life? I'm not really sure. Except that we are both self-deprecating Jews, not quite self-hating, but not self-loving either.

this Eiffel Tower
in This locket
hung low
around my neck
so I can press it close to my chest
when I need to remind myself
of the dreams
that have been
and
are coming true
yet
there is so much I have to find
this albatross
this black ring around the beck of my neck
this pound
after pound
after pound
excess
that exist on my body
This
Cross
I have to bear
always Have
had to
hold
in
this Smile
I glue to my lips
when I am out somewhere
anywhere
where people
exist
side by side
this quick wit
this sharp tongue
the knowing smiles
of the people who are weighed down
by that invisible albatross
while clinging to that locket of hope
tapping their fingers on their lattes
hoping the world doesn’t swallow them whole.

It was funny interesting, and honest. And dont worry, most of us have a frigid grandma. I do, and she a self loathing catholic lesbian too, but that is a whole nother problem.
Anyway, excellent job, and I look forward to more.
